Doughty led Team Canada in ice time and anchored a defense that held Team Czech Republic to 27 shots on goal. He assisted on Alex Pietrangelo's goal in the third period.

2nd Star: Patrice Bergeron, F, Team Canada

Bergeron scored at 19:59 of the first period to give Team Canada a 3-0 lead. He played 3:41 on a Team Canada penalty kill that kept Team Czech Republic scoreless in six tries.

Crosby, fresh off winning the Stanley Cup and the Conn Smythe Trophy with the Pittsburgh Penguins, picked up where he left off, scoring a goal and assisting on two others. He scored the first goal of the game 8:26 into the first period when he brought the puck from behind the net and banked it in off Team Czech Republic goalie Michal Neuvirth. At the end of the first period, Crosby stripped the puck from Michal Kempny to set up Bergeron. The Team Canada captain then set up Joe Thornton for a goal at 7:22 of the second period. With his three points, Crosby matched his point total from six games at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
