Team Canada defeated Team Europe 3-1 in Game 1 of the World Cup of Hockey 2016 final at Air Canada Centre on Tuesday. Game 2 of the best-of-3 series is Thursday (8 p.m. ET; ESPN2, CBC, TVA, TVA Sports).

Here are the three stars of the game as selected by members of the World Cup of Hockey 2016 Organizing Committee:

3rd Star - Tomas Tatar, F, Team Europe

GOAL, 4 SHOTS, 20:33 TOI

Provided all of the offense for Team Europe, scoring his third goal in the past two games. His goal at 7:00 of the second period cut Team Canada's lead to 2-1.

2nd Star - Patrice Bergeron, F, Team Canada

GOAL, ASSIST, 4 SHOTS, 18:19 TOI

Set up Boston Bruins teammate Brad Marchand with a slick pass for the first goal of the game. With Team Canada up 2-1, he put the game away at 9:24 in the third period when he banged home a perfect pass from Sidney Crosby.

1st Star - Sidney Crosby, F, Team Canada

2 ASSISTS, 4 SHOTS, 17:28 TOI

The best player on the ice again for Team Canada. With his team needing a jolt in the third period, Crosby worked the puck behind the net and put it on Bergeron's stick for a 3-1 lead.
